The Actor’s Rejection Viewed Through The Eyes Of Christ
The actor places themselves voluntarily into rejection. Think about that for a second. Think about that for a second. No one wants to be rejected but the artist is a being that voluntarily steps into rejection for the sake of the manifestation of art.
This is a perfect example of the cross. Jesus walk the earth as a perfect human, without needing to, (spoiler: God himself). And walk into rejection in order to set humanity free.
None of us look forward to rejection. On the contrary, we make all the efforts to avoid it. Going a step further, have you realized there are people who decide rejection on daily basis? Actors, they go on auditions after auditions. They receive no’s after no’s with the goal to receive a call back and finally earn a role. They don’t mind the rejection because they know that it will ultimately lead them to the promise if they don’t give up. In the journey, there is the temptation to stop trying to pursue. In our life, we have to be careful to not believe the lie that rejection is who we are. Remember that Christ chose betrayal, abandonment and rejection from and for you and me. Jesus reflected this perfectly when He decided to walk to a cross for the sins of all humanity.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, which says, “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
